AWG wire

AWG is an abbreviation for American Wire Gauge and is the American term for electrical conductor diameters or conductor cross-sectional areas. A wire is a single conductor, while a strand consists of many, sometimes several hundred thin individual wires. Stranded wires are mainly used in the cable industry, especially for UL cables and data cables.
